No Meme Thursday : )

Today I am officially bowing out of some of the memes that I have been toying with - and that is why, because I've just been toying, I haven't been taking them seriously enough.  Why?  Because they don't really fit me.  This Way ThursWay for instance - I rarely go anywhere, so I rarely have signs.  So no biggie, but you won't see as many memes.

A little announcement, self-serving as it is - I have put many new card sets up in my little shop.  Still haven't done the single cards, but they're almost there.  So, if you are in the market for some notecards, or for a little hand crafted gift for someone, please go to http://www.shophandmade.com/store/justb and look around.  Thanks!

Have a happy day and make it that way for someone else too.  Peace.  B : )

You know, I hear you. LOUD. AND. CLEAR. When I first arrived at blogspot/blogger, my intention was to continue my Jack Handey Fridays (relocating it from another site), making some fun friends along the way. When I wasn’t “doing Jack” (<– Mind out of the gutter, missy! LOL), I relaxed, writing about anything and everything that happened to pop up in my grey matter.

But before I knew what was happening, BIG meme boats dropped their nets, snagging me into a whirlpool of already established, weekly play-a-longs that had me backseating poor Jack, and stifling the rest of me. Not only did my Handey work suffer, but I was allowing a bunch of memes to hold me hostage! I thought I was going to have to call Dr. Drew Pinsky, for crying out loud.

*encouragingly pats self on the back with “There, theres”* Finally, I’ve whittled the "controlling" posts down to just two memes per week, but that’s still two TOO many. At least now, though, I can see blog-freedom at the end of the tunnel.

*raises glass of creative juices high in the air* Here’s to the blog days that should have been, *raises juices even higher* and here’s to better blog days ahead-- cuz we know we gotta million of them just waiting to be spewed!

Pretty dramatic, eh? BUT IT'S TRUE.

Hmm... After re-reading this comment, maybe I should be giving Doc Drew a call. Or, better yet, Dr. Bombay! (<-- "Calling Dr. Bombay, calling Dr. Bombay. Emergency! Come right away!") LOL I thaink ahm a mahght teched in the hade!

I so understand what you say when you say that some memes just don't fit our lifestyles. I decided to just 'bow out' as you say on Monday and blog a real blog post...with just chatting or whatever comes to mind. It makes it much more interesting and easily done...to at least have one day for ourselves and our own blog style!!! You go girl.

I've been awol from visiting and commenting I know....just another busy time consuming project around here, but I wanted to catch up on what you've been doing the last few days and shout out a warm, "Hello"!!!
