Happy St. Patrick's Day - NOT!!

Of course it's not, but when I was uploading and organizing photos to PSE this one caught my eye as a perfect St. Patrick's Day photo - well maybe not perfect. I guess it should have a FOUR leafed clover.
Back to Mellow Yellow Monday, where I belong - our Mexican Sunflowers did not bloom hardly at all this year.  They grew and they multiplied, but they  didn't bloom.  Some of the people we gifted with these plants had the same experience.  Guess it was our cold winter.  But here is one anyway, sharing the spotlight with yet another snail.  This was taken in the dark with a flash - I sort of like that look
These are my birthday flowers from Victor - pretty huh?
And these next two are the gift and card my elder step-daughter made for me. It's hard to see, but the artwork is done on canvas with paints and layers of paper.  She's very talented

Have a lovely Monday - a brand new week to start over again!  If you would care to join in on a meme, click on the button of your choice over there to the right.  Peace  B : )

Ruby Tuesday - My Apologies

As I was reviewing the shots I took the last few days, I couldn't find anything really red....I had pink, purple, and orange, all of which I consider to be sort of shades of red. When I arrange my papers or my fabric, I always keep those shades close to the reds. Does that make me a bad person : ) Anyway, here is what I have to offer - "shades of red":

The butterfly plant

The Indian Pipe Vine

The thing I can never remember the name of - one of the amorphophallic or whatever plants - some years it come up like this, some years it comes up with stalks and leaves.  When it's like this, it stinks and attracts flies.  Lovely, huh?
A cactus flower.
A teeny tiny wild flower
The Passion Flower
If you were dying to see ruby, I'm sorry : (

Mellow Yellow Monday

Looking at this picture you might think I know what I'm doing.  Oh look - she did and black and white photo and highlighted the flower with yellow.  Sorry to disappoint, but I don't know what I'm doing and I don't know how to do that particular technique.  It just happened that one of the yellow flowers that shower us in drifts fell into the charcoal grill - sort of like a little piece of hamburger that fell in. hee hee  And I was there at the right time to catch it.  Have a mellow Monday - Peace.  B : )

I would be honored if you would visit my new on-line store and see some of the cards I have been making. Feel free to purchase some if you would like : )

Mosaic Monday - In The Pink

That would be last Monday.  I'm just squeaking in under the wire on this one...in more ways than one.  My pinks are quite a variation and some run into the purples and even maybe just a little orange.  Sorry - most of my flowers are NOT pink.  The most wonderful blog - Dear Little Red House - is where I found the Mosaic Monday meme.  Please go there and drool : ) http://dearlittleredhouse.blogspot.com/2009/10/mosaic-monday-in-pink.html
Here's my pitiful first try at a mosaic : )

Well, they may not all be perfectly pink, but they are all from my yard.  That bougainvilla there shouldn't even look pink - it's really burnt orange, like a clay pot sort of, but it turns colors when the flowers are out in the sun too long.  Maybe I should put sunscreen on it.  I was REALLY stretching when I used the cactus flower with the pink stamen - that is a stamen right?  Can't wait to see what the theme is for next Monday!  Have a happy weekend.  Peace.  B : )

Fertilizer Friday - I LOVE it!!

If you go to http://tootsietime.blogspot.com/ you will find a wonderful gardening blog - and they want your flower photos.  Since I couldn't come up with a good photo challenge to enter for Thursday, I thought I'd put up four photos today, just for Fertilizer Friday.  That tickles me : )  Here you go:

Although I miss a few things about New Jersey, mostly snow, which we didn't get enough of, sometimes I DO love Florida!  Have a happy day.  Peace.  B : )
