Wow - STILL recovering from this virus or whatever - it's reduced me to a sissy! and made me miss some posts.  But here we go:


ABC Wednesday - H is for HOME

My apologies if I've broken any rules about photos being taken by me.  This homecoming event was around the time of my birth so no, I didn't take this one, but I love it, so here it is : )  These fine gentlemen are my grandfather and my uncle.

ABC Wednesday, Watery Wednesday, NaBloPoMo/Green

ABC Wednesday - F is for funny, fabulous, freakish finds from just the past few days:

When this used up old White Bird of Paradise blossom was still up in the "tree", I saw a splash of yellow/orange, and asked Victor to cut it down so I could see what it was - now you can see too:

fabulous - new seeds for me to try to grow!  Here are some other finds:

 Plants that look like fireworks (above) and one of the views from my chair (below)

 The kiddo on his turtle potty (and yes, I do have shots of the results but didn't think you would care to join in on that fun)

 While walking past the lime tree, I saw what looked, again, like Mickey Mouse lying in the sand under the tree - turned out to be a windfall lime with two snails attached

 These leaves must have been chewed on by the "Keyhole Bug" : )

 Above, Jeffie once again made himself a nice nest, and below this WAS Jeffie's Wubba, but Joy took it over and destroyed it - that top part is very very difficult to destroy, but dear sweet gentle Joy did it!

And now, for Watery Wednesday.  Lincoln had a little sleep over with us and when we opened the door it was raining, but he decided to go out and play anyway, even tried to get to the pool (one of his favorite things):

Funny thing, he smiles and laughs like crazy almost all the time, but when he's learning something new, he is all serious!

ABC Wednesday, Watery Wednesday, NaBloPoMo/Green

ABC Wednesday - D - today I have chosen Decidedly Delightful as my D theme.  here is a part of our yards that I don't believe I have ever shared with you before.  It is also decidedly green, so it can pass for NaBloPoMo-Green.

 Sorry about the blast of sunlight in the upper right corner, but that's part of the delightfulness, don't you think?  Actually, the rocks in the foreground are new - they came from the garden re-model in the front and will, some day, become the outline of a pond.  We haven't had a pond for 10 years now and oh boy do I miss one!


Watery Wednesday - Lincoln makes another (well, two) appearance on Watery Wednesday.  I put a darling little double ruffled gardenia in there to disguise anything that may remotely be considered child porn!  Oh the times we live in.

These shots can actually double as ABC Wednesday - D because he's such a daredevil - no fear.  He's heading toward the hole in the raft to throw the ball into the water, and doesn't even care when he falls in himself : )  And the green on the raft qualifies it for NaBloPoMo-Green too.  Disclaimer:  that is a mosquito bite on his arm - we didn't abuse him and didn't give him a tattoo : )

ABC Wednesday, Watery Wednesday, NaBloPoMo/Green

Oh my - Wednesday already!!  And this week we are celebrating the letter "C".  Although that can mean many things that are dear to me (critters, children, colors, cows, cats, cars, castration [sorry, but it's SO important in the animal world], cooking, clams, courtesy, customer service), the dearest is our CiCi, whom we always call Ci.


Ci has been with us for a year now - she came to stay on July 4th - a true day of celebration.  She didn't think so because she's afraid of fireworks : )  Common words cannot describe Ci.  There is just something so special about her.  She's the smallest of our herd, so needs to be heard, so barks crazily.  And growls too. And protects her Mommy.


Although, as you have probably guessed, I have hundreds of shots of Ci, this slightly out of focus one just tears me up!  She's my cute crazy critter, CiCi:

On to Watery Wednesday, and this time I've gone in a whole new direction:

My DH in the uber-wonderful outdoor shower he built for us showing off the true badge of a hard working man - white feet : )  This is a double water shot, since it was also raining.


And now for the NaBloPoMo "Green" post of the day.  These are some of our grapes, surrounded in the different greens of the leaves, and leaving the green stage, becoming ripe and ready to be devoured.  Which reminds me, I'd better pick them before someone else does.  Like Joy for instance; she does love a good snack!

Aren't you just green with envy?  Better wait and see how they taste.

ABC Wednesday - B is for Beautiful Brilliant Baby Boy Brushing

Please excuse my babbling but this just bemuses me!  Here is baby Lincoln at only 13 months old, brushing his teeth!  All four of them!  And the beauty of it is that his mommy (who is doing SUCH a good job with him) sits him on his cushy potty seat, that sits on the toilet, while he brushes his teeth. But wait, it gets better.  The other morning, he did both of the things that people do while in that position! Brilliant!

ABC Wednesday - Q is for Quadruplets

Why yes, thanks for asking, I DO have quadruplets - they don't look alike, they're not the same ages, but they ARE all quadrapeds.

First there is Jeff

My big boy who communicates in querulous tones - uh, he whines : )
Then there is Ricky

my quirky little boy, who does some of the funniest things, gets in some of the funniest positions, just keeps us in stitches.  Here he is waiting for someone to tell him, again, that he can walk around that fence.

Then there is CiCi

my little girl who is without a doubt QUEEN of all who live here, visit here, deliver here, or just walk past here.  She was a queasy queen the other day - very sick tummy, but fine now.

And last (only because she arrived last) is Joy

my big girl, who is always questioning.  She's only a few months off the track so everything is new to her and she wants to know about everything!
