Shadow Shot Sunday and Weekend Reflections

Hi there!  Yes, I'm still competing for the "bad blogger" award.  Life just keeps getting in the way.  Sorry.  Well, not really : )

Here is my Shadow Shot:
BTW, if you ever decide to put your little ficus houseplant outside to grow, this is what to expect.

And here is the Weekend Reflection shot.  This is the little "foyer" at the front door where the dogs get in their "suits" to go for our morning walk:
That mirror is from a maple set that was my first husband's when he was a child; the hat rack is one of those cheapie brass ones, painted - talk bout recycling. The green to the left of the mirror is a 60's-ish beaded curtain that hangs over the glass block window, and the shell wreath was made by a very dear neighbor.  There are four hooks screwed into the mirror (you can just see the tops) where the dogs' harnesses and leashes hang.  That little note you see taped at the lower right corner is actually usually right up on the mirror, but I moved it for the picture.  That, AND the one on the door, which you can see in the mirror, are to remind people to be sure the door is latched, not just pulled to, because we lost our dear Jack due to that sort of error : (  and it was beyond horrible.  Jack's loss was - in our Greyhound world - like the first dent in a new car.  Once we felt a bit better about that, it was just a teensy tad easier (yeah right) when we lost Josie and Fred.  Now that I'm writing this, I realize that isn't true - it didn't make the subsequent losses any easier, it just took away the dread of the first time loss.  But now we have Jeffie and Joy (not to mention the terriers) and it helps.  I may have mentioned here before (maybe even more than twice) that Joy has lots of the unique personality quirks that both Jack and Josie used to have.  It's such a blessing!  Victor calls her Josie so often that he now calls her Joysey.  Here she is in a big hole she dug - just like Josie used to.  Just look at that face!

Have a great weekend.  Try to take a minute to drop in on these memes - buttons to the right.  Peace.  B : )

The shadows on the tree are very pretty ... but I love the reflection shot. I'm so glad you took the time to describe what I was seeing - an ordinary shell wreath becomes a treasured family heirloom ... hooks become home to doggie stuff ... Very captivating!
